Aleida Torrent is a complete artist and a multi-faceted actress. Born in Barcelona, Spain, and trained in theater and the performing arts, her tremendous presence on-screen. She is strong-willed and passionate, which has led her to focus on dramas and strong female roles.
Aleida started acting at a young age and she has combined the study of theater, dance and other performing arts with her career. She studied at the Barcelona Theater School.
Aleida made her professional acting debut in 2005 by joining the top-tier company La Fura dels Baus is a Catalan theatrical group that performs urban theater in unusual settings and uses a mix of choreography, acrobatic feats in the vein of Cirque du Soleil, opera and other elements to break the wall between actors and audience (www.lafura.com). She also worked at the Liceu, the Opera Theater of Barcelona, for two consecutive seasons and was part of the ensemble in several of their operas.
Her first on-screen appearance was on the Spanish TV sitcom “13 years and a day” in 2009.
In 2009 moved to the United States, were Aleida has played the lead in the web series Front Seat Chronicles (People’s Choice and Best Low-Budget Series Telly Award winner). She appear in the movie Caravaggio and My Mother the Pope (2013), she worked alongside Jorge Garcia (Lost) in the film The Lummox .
Aleida has never stopped training to hone her skills, she studied at the Ivana Chubbuck studio, with Billy O’Leary, at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and with Margie Haber during her 7 years in Los Angeles.
In 2015 moved to Spain and she has worked with top directors in her country. Isabel Coixet, Oriol Paulo, Pastor Brother’s, Jorge Torregrossa. She is currently in the show “Burning Body” in Netflix and also in the movie “The Antares Paradox” available on Amazon Prime.
She leaves between Europe and the US since 2015.
