Catarina Vieira

Catarina Dias Vieira is a Portuguese actress and singer. A graduate of the ESMAE Drama School, her primary focus is acting for film and theatre. Her screen work includes the SIC Radical production Colégio do Templo and several independent short film projects.
As a singer, she is the lead vocalist for the original rock band Mantra Rota, with music available on all major platforms.
Her distinctive performance skillset combines stage combat proficiency, a powerful rock singing voice, and cello. She deepened her acting technique through a two-week Erasmus+ intensive at Madrid's La Manada school, training in the Layton's Variation Method, an approach grounded in Stanislavski's system.
Committed to continuous development for the screen, she actively participates in high-level cinematography workshops, including the Passaporte Programme workshops: The Use of Online Platforms (Alexandra Montag, Lucinda Syson, Julie Schubert), From Obvious to Insightful: What to Really Ask a Casting Director (Francesco Vedovati, Kate Rhodes James), What Casting Directors Really See: The First 30 Seconds (Maurilio Mangano), and Q&A Casting Methods (Laure Cochener). She also attends cinema festivals such as Tribeca Lisbon.
Alongside her artistic work, she teaches Acting and Voice at a theatre conservatory. She is currently completing her Master’s in Performing Arts at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (ESTC), culminating in a final internship at the São João National Theatre (TNSJ).
