Nazare Sousa-Coutinho

Nazaré Sousa Coutinho is a Portuguese actress, born in 1993 in Montemor-o-Novo. She began her theatre training in childhood and later graduated in Performing Arts from the Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais. She made her professional stage debut at Teatro Experimental de Cascais in O Paraíso (2013).

She later moved to London, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Popular Music Performance (Voice), collaborating with artists such as Skinshape, Adibanti and Janeiro. Her song Sua Alma was released as a single from the album Umoja (2020) and was featured in an international Victoria’s Secret campaign.

On screen, she appeared in The Streets Are Scared of Thinking (2021), Rota de Fuga – A Balsa (2021) and One Door Closes – Adibanti (2022), a finalist at the UK Music Video Awards. In 2022, she starred in LIMINA, for which she received the award for Best Performance at the Brighton International Film Festival. More recently, she joined the main cast of the series SEMPRE, directed by Manuel Pureza, playing the role of Teresa.

In theatre, her work includes productions such as A Streetcar Named Desire with Primeiros Sintomas and the musical Encore (2025). In 2024, she was selected to take part in the 9th edition of Passaporte Lisboa.
