Rebecca Knox is an actor, writer, director, and producer from New York City. Raised in a multilingual household by Colombian and German parents, she grew up speaking English & Spanish.
Rebecca most recently wrapped production on White Sands, a feature film she wrote, produced, and stars in. She also stars opposite Chloe Levine in the feature film Birdsong, which premiered at Cinequest in 2025. She is best known for her recurring role as Tina Swope on Seasons 6 and 7 of Orange Is the New Black, and appeared in Bob Dylan's acclaimed concert film Shadow Kingdom, directed by Alma Har’el.
As a filmmaker, Rebecca has written, produced, and starred in the award-winning short films Cavity and Woman to Woman. Cavity screened at festivals internationally, earning her Best Actress awards at the Blackbird Film Festival and East Hampton TV Festival, where it also won Best Short Film. Woman to Woman screened at festivals in Manchester, London, New York, Moscow, Bucharest, Los Angeles, and Santa Fe.
Rebecca made her feature film debut alongside Stellan Skarsgård and Nina Hoss in Academy Award-winning director Volker Schlöndorff's Return to Montauk.
When she's not creating films, Rebecca enjoys cooking, painting, advocating for causes she believes in, spending time with her dog Elvis, and treating herself to the Metropolitan Opera at least once a year.
