Thaís Chanes

Thaís Chanes is an actress, screenwriter, and filmmaker whose work focuses on what is left unsaid — unspoken desires, flawed actions, and the intimate corners of a character’s soul. She is drawn to stories that open new ways of understanding existence and the human drive toward self-realisation.

Originally from Brazil, she moved to Madrid in 2021, where she completed Master’s Degrees in Screen Acting and Filmmaking at TAI Arts. Now based between Lisbon and Madrid, she works across Europe in theatre and film, collaborating with directors, companies, and multidisciplinary artists.

She is the co-founder of Companhia Limen, a theatre company dedicated to artistic research, where she investigates acting, the unconscious, and the creation of characters with emotional depth and psychological truth.
